Cut Edge Corrosion

Cut edges are inherently a weak point within any steel cladding system as an unavoidable consequence of the manufacturing process. The lap joint points are susceptible to corrosion over time due to oxygen exposure, exacerbated by water and pollutants in the atmosphere. Left untreated can render the weather sheets in need of full replacement. There is also the risk of the roof sheets becoming unfastened if the corrosion passes the fixing point.

We are approved installers of a wide range of treatment solutions to extend the life expectancy of the roof sheets. All systems are provided with manufacturer guarantees for a minimum of 15 years. We are also able to advise of any other related refurbishment issues that could be undertaken at the simultaneously to increase the efficiency of the project.
